Before I give nursing care or implement intervention on my patients who are at stage of adolescent development, first I have to recognize the characteristics or nature of its development stage.. As we know that youth is a time of transition between childhood and adulthood. Each stage of human life there must be development tasks that must be passed. When someone fails through the development task in real life then on the next development phase would be a problem in a person is. To know the personality of adolescents need to know the tasks of development.

Identity and identity confusion (identity vs. identity confusion) is the fifth stage experienced by the individual during the years of adolescence. At this stage they are confronted by the search for who they are, how they will, and where they will reach their future. One important dimension is the assessment of alternative options to the role. Career exploration is important. Parents should allow teenagers to explore many roles and the various roads. If the child explores the various roles and find the positive role it will achieve a positive identity. If parents refuse adolescent identity, while teenagers do not know a lot of roles and also does not explain about the way a positive future then he will experience identity confusion.

In addition to the tasks of development, we must also recognize the special characteristics in adolescents, among others:

- Physical growth is very fast

- Emotionally unstable

- Sexual development is very prominent

- Causality is his way of thinking (the law of cause and effect)

- Tied closely with the group

Under these conditions, I can provide nursing care according to psychological development, among others:

#Creating a good social interaction from start to ask the name, age, and favorite activities or get acquainted with one another is a beginning in a relationship. With the application of therapeutic attitude can help this process and further process it well.

#Applying BHSP (Bina Hubungan Saling Percaya Community Relations Trust) to one another. Because building a relationship with a sense of trust can create a good atmosphere and conducive.

#Helping the patient to find his true identity (identity) because at this stage, adolescents are still trying to find out who he was and sometimes they tended to follow the trend or something they like and idolakan.

#Providing social support because the stages of youth will feel lonely if their social needs are not met. We can play a role such as providing help, advice, and sit close together.

#Be nice, kind, and attentive. Because the adolescent stage of development, they still have an unstable emotion. Teens also tend to feel unhappy and insecure.

#a prosocial behavior as an honest, generous, and willing to cooperate.

#Helping them to appreciate themselves and others.

Recently our class has the task of individual psychology professor likens the nurse with a word and give us reason on what URLs it. In my opinion, this is an attractive task because students would answer each of the nurse varies according to each viewpoint.

HonestlyI was coated with an answer other friends for this task. Because they describe the nurse was on things I never thought before. Explanations or descriptions are very good reasons. Some nurses described it as a warrior, the reason being perawatlah who will be at the front and early in greet patients, provide therapeutic attitude to patients, and for 24 hours to accompany the patient at the hospital.
There is also a nurse who likens it as a handkerchief patient on the grounds that the handkerchief is a sure thing when a person uses his tears fell. Similarly, a nurse who was concerned with patients who are always trying to give love in the therapeutic attitude. And when the handkerchief that had been used up, then we can clean it again by washing. In contrast if we use a tissue, which after use must be discarded.
There are also nurses who likens it as an angel (a nurse is an angel), the reason being a nurse is always beside the patient and give genuine affection in every job to help patients. Sometimes even my own that we have witnessed so many nurses who work selflessly, whether it is in the hospital or in communities where it is located. It was very touching.
There is another nurse who likens it as a patients's blanket of course, because a nurse who works with the sincere will surely give warmth to the patient.
